Folios are a good way to share your images with other enthusiests.
Basically the member inserts one of his/her personal reels for each circuit
rotation. When a folio arrives, the member has the opportunity to
study each reel and make comments on the entries of the other
participants. This process enables the stereographer to get
constructive criticism from his/her peers. I'm aware of two View-Master specific folios: The View-Master Circuit in the UK - Members contribute photographs they have taken themselves in View-Master Reel format, for artistic and technical criticism from other members. Award certificates are given for the best picture and reel of each round. And The SSA View-Master Folio. The Stereoscopic Society of America (SSA) is a group of active stereo photographers who circulate their work among their contemporaries in many different formats. A PSA Exhibition Medal Best of Show, and other medals will be awarded for first, second and third place reels, and for best Photo-Travel, Scenic, and Theme reels.
